Introducing Bud’s Half Caff Blend!

Hey y’all Grace here! As the co-owner of Iluminar Coffee & Bud's Beans, I am so thrilled to share my personal experience brewing our Half Caff blend, a perfect combination of our Mexico decaf and a rotating Central American single origin coffee.

I started by grinding 50 grams of the Half Caff blend with my burr grinder, ensuring a medium-fine grind. Then, I heated up my Chemex with freshly boiled water to warm it up and discarded the water before starting the brewing process.

Making coffee for myself and Daniel, I carefully measured out 700ml of filtered water and brought it to a temperature of around 205°F. I placed the coffee grinds into the Chemex and poured just enough water to saturate the coffee and let it bloom for 30 seconds. I then slowly added the rest of the water in a circular motion, ensuring an even extraction.

The beauty of Half Caff is that it allows coffee lovers to enjoy all the same flavors, aromas, and acidity of regular coffee, but with half the caffeine. It's the perfect solution for those looking to moderate their caffeine intake, without sacrificing taste.

As I savored my first sip of the Half Caff blend, I was immediately struck by its balanced sweetness and rich chocolate and toffee notes, all a result of the exceptional Mexican coffee beans grown under the shade of forest canopies. The natural water decaffeination process at the Descamex facility in Veracruz, Mexico preserves the essence of these special coffee beans, making this blend a true standout.

I hope you will try our Half Caff blend and taste the difference of truly exceptional decaffeinated coffee. Whether you are looking to cut back on caffeine or just want to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, our Half Caff is the perfect choice. Order now!
