Coffee should be stored away from light, heat, and moisture. The ideal storage temperature is between 60-70°F and relative humidity of around 60%. It is best to store whole bean coffee, as pre-ground coffee will lose its flavor and aroma more quickly. Whole bean coffee can be stored for up to 6 months, ground coffee for about 2 months and if you want to store it for longer you should put it in the freezer, just make sure the coffee is in an airtight container and it's free from moisture. It's important to note that the coffee should be at room temperature before brewing, as the coffee can absorb moisture from the air and affect the taste.
